Love (challenge)

I painted this journal page for a "Love" challenge in February. I was working in my Moleskine journal I use for the Documented Life Project.

First I covered the page with a tissue paper that had black dots on it. Then I stencilled some hearts using a glitter structure paste.

Then I coloured it with Gelatos and sealed it with gel medium.

I had to add more Gelatos because it was a bit too dull. I wonder what I'm doing wrong - I never get the vibrant colours with Gelatos.

It was still dull, so I added some drippage with acrylic inks and a Prima spray (applied with a pipette).

Finally, I added a quote and some shading around the hearts.
