Best of Documented Life 2015

I didn't finish the Documented Life 2014. You probably know the story. I followed the prompts in my own way and after 3 months I found out it wasn't working. But I was ready for 2015 - I had my journal prepared, I had a certain vision and most importantly, I was determined to stay committed.

I tried to do all the prompts as they arrived without skipping pages. I didn't always follow the prompt. Many times the prompts were "lost in the translation" for me, sometimes I just didn't want to address the particular theme, other times I just painted whatever was on my mind.

There were times I didn't like what I created, but because I was painting in a bound journal, I had to learn to stick with what I had.

In the end, I managed to get into a "creative rhythm" and that was the most valuable lesson for me. This project - and my commitment to it - helped me to be more confident about my art and that is more than I could have ever hoped for.

Here is a flip-through video:

And here are some pages I like very much:

And finally, these are two of my favourites:

All the posts are labelle, so you can check them out, if you wish.

I'm now busy with Documented Life 2016 - so I will be back, hopefully, at the beginning of February with a January recap.
