Rach's 6x6 challenge (weeks 1-20)

Several months ago, my online friend Rachel reached a milestone of 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and started a Facebook group where she posted weekly challenges for us to play along with her.

We got a theme every week. The only rule was that we were to work on a 6 by 6 inches format. I decided to make a journal (actually two journals) and a traveller's notebook style cover:

Here are my weekly entries:

Challenge 1 - Flowers

Challenge 2 - Doodles

Challenge 3 - Butterflies

Challenge 4 - Tea or coffee

Challenge 5 - Drips and splatters

Challenge 6 - Spring

Challenge 7 - Tags

Challenge 8 - Masks

Challenge 16 - Poppies

  1. Hi there,
I randomly found your blog through Pinterest then onto the UK Paper Artsy blog spot. (again very random as I live in Canada lol) One of the challenges you participated in a long time ago caught my eye and brought me here. I've been very much enjoying going through your Art Journaling, I love your style and am very inspired by it. I am typically not one to comment online, but I saw a post by you in a segment from last year that said you at times feel discouraged from keeping up with your blog as you receive very little feedback and are not sure who this is reaching... so I wanted to go out of my way to tell you about my experience with your site and that I hope you keep going with your blog as it is really very good. I am blessed for what art journaling in general has done for me. I am always online looking for new ideas and inspiration. If there weren't people like you here sharing your creative works and processes via blogs, YouTube, etc., it would be much harder for people like me to improve our own works without taking classes and so on. Thanks again for what you do!
