Here is the second part of my 2018 art journal adventure. As I mentioned in my previous post, I was loosely following the Documented Life Project prompts posted on the "Life Documented 2018".

2018 Art journal: January to April
This year, like the year before, I chose to do my art journal in a traveler's notebook style.
I made a cover, prepared three journals (one for four months). One change was that I created my art journals with pockets (I took ATC page protectors and cut them to fit the journal).

Rach's 6x6 challenge (weeks 1-20)
Several months ago, my online friend Rachel reached a milestone of 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and started a Facebook group where she posted weekly challenges for us to play along with her.
We got a theme every week. The only rule was that we were to work on a 6 by 6 inches format. I decided to make a journal (actually two journals) and a traveller's notebook style cover:

Traveler's Notebook covers
I know I come to this Midori (and Fauxdori) madness a bit late... I was never a fan of this style of journals. Things being squished, a rubber band going through the middle of my planner...
But then I started art journalling into traveler's notebook inserts... I still didn't think I needed a cover for them. But then I was asked to teach an art journalling mixed media class and was challenged to do a cover for the journals we would be making...

"Wanderlust" art journal - NOVEMBER and DECEMBER
Here are my final art journal pages in my 2017 art journal. I managed to finish this journal still in 2017, on December 31st actually... I got pretty behind during the final months because I wasn't well mentally and couldn't focus on anything creative.
